Spiritual Warfare for Your City and Home (Part 4)

Two cats 29

The secret to winning wars is knowing your enemy – his strengths and weaknesses. To know anything less will always guarantee defeat for the ignorant ones in every battle.

This is especially true in spiritual warfare where 90% of us Christians spend most of our lives walking in defeat or teetering on the edge of it. Yes, we should be thankful for the grace the Lord gives to cover some of our ignorance, but yet, we should never be satisfied until we enjoy the full victory Jesus promised us at the cross.

To date, we blindly stumble into and out of one pitfall after another with our finances, health, relationships, and whatever, and actually believe this is normal Christianity. Our only hope seems to be for us to die and then live victoriously in heaven someday.

Well, this is a lie!

You and I are a chosen generation, royal sons and daughters of a great King who has chosen to seat us now in heavenly places in Him, far above all principalities and powers.

We just need to transform and renew our minds, ridding ourselves of bad teachings and learn how to walk in victory here on earth now.

And to do this, we need to know our enemy.

Rule #1: All demons are stronger and smarter than us humans.

For You have made him [man] a little lower than the angels… (Psalm 8:5)

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels… (Hebrews 2:9)

We have to remember that Satan and his demons were angels who rebelled against God and then fell. And many of the scriptures which pertain to the word angels also refer to demons, too.

Thus, like us, Jesus lived His life here on earth with inferior strength, intelligence, and powers in comparison to demons and angels. Yet, He walked in victory through every spiritual battle He encountered.

Jesus is our example and teacher on how to win in spiritual warfare. What did He do?

  1. This is so good, Mr. Larry. You are a great coach for us! Sitting up and paying attention . ..God bless you!

  2. Debbie,

Thanks. I enjoy the thought of you sitting at your school desk, facing the blackboard, pencil in hand, your hair in braids, eyes wide open, and ready for class.

  3. I like where this is heading . . . the story . . . not Debbie in braids. :-)
