Racism: Who’s in the Right? And Who’s in the Wrong? (Part 3)

In the prophecy for Northern Ireland, I wrote that Satan’s plan was to kill a whole generation of Irish youths, destroying them in the continuing violence of the 400-year struggle between the Protestants and Catholics.

Now, knowing Satan’s plan helps believers to begin intercession, but by itself, this is not usually enough. You see, at best, believers can fall on their knees and cry out for mercy from God and beg/ask/supplicate Him to move on their behalf. Yes, sometimes this is all we have and we are thankful for His grace, but in this instance, I also revealed God’s prophetic plan for the Irish youth.

God’s prophetic plan was to deliver this particular generation of Irish youth out of the 400-year muck of hatred, raising up numerous evangelists, prophets, and apostles from their midst and sending them out to the nations of the world. These ambassadors of Christ would be deliverers, cloaked in love, to deliver others of their hatred, bitterness, and rebellion.

Why is it so important to know God’s prophetic plan?

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17)

The only offensive weapon mentioned for the armor of God in Ephesians 6:13-17 is the sword of the Spirit. All of the other items mentioned are for defending the believer from personal attacks by Satan and his demonic army.

Although there are two main Greek words − rhema and logos −that are translated into the English language as word, this particular Greek word is rhema, which always refers to an utterance or a spoken word. The utterance can be a scripture spoken aloud or a prophecy.

Okay, how would the prayer group at the Christian Renewal Centre in Belfast have used God’s prophetic plan as a sword of the Spirit to defeat Satan’s plan?

They would have prayed something like this:

“We proclaim the word of the Lord for this generation of Irish youth to come forth here on earth. We proclaim a move of God to deliver this generation of Irish youth from 400 years of hatred, setting them free to be a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, proclaiming praises of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. And we proclaim evangelists, prophets, and apostles to be raised up out of this generation and to be sent forth to the nations of the earth. We proclaim all these words to be done in Jesus’ name.”

All angels, including fallen ones like Satan and his demonic horde, must obey the word of the Lord according to Psalm 103:20. This does not mean the battle will be won in an hour or a day or a month or whatever because there are always attacks and counterattacks. It takes perseverance, but a prophecy used as a sword of the Spirit wins spiritual wars.

So, how can this help the inner cities of America?

  1. Thank you for giving us an example of how a prophecy used as a sword of the Spirit works and wins spiritual wars, Mr. Larry!
    God bless you and yours!

  2. Solveig Engh

Every now and then I make a copy of something someone has written. This was one of those times. So true–but so often missed. God’s Word is our offensive weapon. And the truth in the Word to the Irish Christians is relevant to almost all circumstances. Certainly to one in my life just now. Thanks.

  3. Debbie,

Thanks. This just seem to work out well as a teaching for all of us.

  4. Solveig Engh,

Thanks. Learning how to use the word – prophetic or scripture – as the sword of the Spirit is powerful because it works.
