So, What’s The Lord Saying Or Doing? (1/16/2009)

It is my belief that we Christians depend too much on what an individual pastor or an individual prophet or another anointed person thinks that he (or she) is hearing from the Lord, rather than trying to hear for ourselves or listening to many different voices from all over the Body of Christ. Dependence on just an anointed few is a guaranteed recipe for failure.

So, each day, I invite you to write what you believe the Lord is telling you, showing you, or doing for you. Testimonies. Short teachings. Prophetic words. Scriptures. Prayers. Whatever you believe that the Body of Christ needs to know or will be blessed by hearing. Try to keep your words under 250 words. And if you need to, attach a link to your site for longer messages.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22)

…but a prudent wife is from the Lord. (Proverbs 19:14)

An excellent wife is the crown of her husband…(Proverbs 12:4)

Today is my wife’s birthday. She is a great wife and a godly woman who desires to do the will of God in her life at all times.

But added to this, she is a hoot to be around, a perfect piece of iron to sharpen me and a sharp needle to deflate me when I need it.

So, I bless my wife today. May it be the best birthday ever.

    Hi Mr Larry
I need to endorse everything that you have just said, only it is about my own wife. Her birthday was the 15th, a day before your wife’s.
My wife is the most wonderful person to be around. She and I have such fun and laughter just being together. She is so supportive and encouraging of my journey into the hidden things of God. I could never have gone the places I have in God without her input.
I was so blessed when I read the following.

1Pe 3:1 In like manner, the wives, be ye subject to your own husbands, that even if certain are disobedient to the word, through the conversation of the wives, without the word, they may be won,
1Pe 3:2 having beheld your pure behaviour in fear,
1Pe 3:3 whose adorning–let it not be that which is outward, of plaiting of hair, and of putting around of things of gold, or of putting on of garments,
1Pe 3:4 but–the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible thing of the meek and quiet spirit, which is, before God, of great price,
1Pe 3:5 for thus once also the holy women who did hope on God, were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
1Pe 3:6 as Sarah was obedient to Abraham, calling him `sir,’ of whom ye did become daughters, doing good, and not fearing any terror.
1Pe 3:7 The husbands, in like manner, dwelling with them , according to knowledge, as to a weaker vessel–to the wife–imparting honour, as also being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

I love to give honour (v7) to my wife knowing that my attitude determines how my prayers are answered. She has such a meek and quiet spirit, –with an anointing and wisdom beyond anything I have ever seen in a woman.

Larry, may your beloved continue to grace your journey with ever increasing anointing and revelation.
