My prayer today:
Lord, send the Spirit of prayer upon us American believers so that we will humble ourselves before You, pray and seek Your face, and then turn from our wicked ways. (Based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 a)

Thursday’s Prayers for America (7/14/2016)
Many years ago, I had a meeting with a black pastor in his office. My reason for the meeting was that I was leaving his church, a congregation consisting of half whites and half blacks. I explained my reasons for leaving.
He then took off his shoes and held them up for me to look at them. “Larry, you couldn’t walk in my shoes or any black man’s shoes,” he said and quickly dismissed me.
My reason for leaving was a doctrinal disagreement and had nothing at all to do with our skin colors. Yet he was not able to see past my white skin and hear what I was really saying.
I walked out of his office, totally confused and hurt by our conversation. I thought our relationship was built on our love of Jesus, our fellowship with each other, and the many family meals we shared together.
But I was so naive and wrong.
You see, I didn’t see the hundreds of years of bitterness buried in his heart.
…For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. (Matthew 12:34 NLT)
How many calamities like Dallas, Ferguson, Baltimore, and others must America endure before we realize that the poisonous roots of bitterness are destroying our nation?
My prayers today:
Lord, I come boldly to Your throne of grace asking for sufficient mercy and grace to help us Americans so that no one shall fall short of the grace of God and end up in bitterness. (Based on Hebrews 4:16 and Hebrews 12:15)

Tuesday’s Prayers for One New Man (7/12/2016)

Considering the racial unrest, targeting of policeman by activists, terrorist problems, Presidential election, illegal immigration, and economic problems in America, wouldn’t you think the Lord would place His plans for creating one new man on the back burner?
No! No! No!
You see, we’re searching for peace on earth and this is an integral part of His plan for achieving that goal. We must follow His lead now; otherwise we will continue marching toward chaos in our nation.
My prayer today:
Lord, help us to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches now so we will stand in faith and prayer, believing that You are able to bring forth the one new man in this season. (Based on Revelation 2:7 and Ephesians 2:15)
Join with me on Tuesday’s to pray and fast for the one new man to finally come forth in the Body of Christ.
…that he might create in Himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace (Ephesians 2:15)

Tuesday’s Prayers for One New Man (July 5, 2016)

Today, there is still much resistance to the uniting of Jew and Gentile in Messiah as one new man. The Christian Church is afraid of being Judaized, and the Jews are afraid of being Christianized…
If we are not open to learn and blend Jewish and Gentile expressions and seek to heal this division, then the heart of God’s purpose, “one new man” will not happen. This division has become a major target for demonic attack, and as Paul states in Eph.6:12, that we are wrestling against powers of darkness, realizing the overall theme of the entire book of Ephesians, we can see, that this pertains to the Jew & Gentile in Messiah becoming one new man… (Nikirk Ministries)

Lord, help us American believers to deny our traditions, pick up our crosses, and follow Your plans and purposes for us so that the creation of the one new man will come forth in You. (Based on Luke 9:23)
