It is my belief that we Christians depend too much on what an individual pastor or an individual prophet or another anointed person thinks that he (or she) is hearing from the Lord, rather than trying to hear for ourselves or listening to many different voices from all over the Body of Christ. Dependence on just an anointed few is a guaranteed recipe for failure.
So, each day, I invite you to write what you believe the Lord is telling you, showing you, or doing for you. Testimonies. Short teachings. Prophetic words. Scriptures. Prayers. Whatever you believe that the Body of Christ needs to know or will be blessed by hearing. Try to keep your words under 250 words. And if you need to, attach a link to your site for longer messages.

…”For behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all people, for today in the city of David there has been for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11)
Merry Christmas to all.
People do listen too much to what their pastors say. People forget that pastors are just “interpreting” the Bible through THEIR perspective. In reality, every person has a different perspective of the Bible because each person has their own PERSONAL relationship with the Lord.
The existence of a personal relationship between God and ourselves allows for an isolated and individual perspective of the Word. No two people have the same relationship with God therefore no two people could share identical perspectives of what the Bible says.
What is true for one pastor may not be true for everyone else who listens to him. When I read the Bible, the stories of David and Jonah and the Whale impact me in a way that doesn’t credit my Christian education or upbringing. The stories have symbolic meaning to me. Jonah COULD have been some laid back, bearded man in his mid 40s with a passion for hummus and walks along the beach at sunset. One unfortunate day, his passions led him down the esophagus of Shamoo’s distant relative. No….I think Jonah is symbolic for Israel and the conflictive relationship they had with God.
Anything is possible.
