It is my belief that we Christians depend too much on what an individual pastor or an individual prophet or another anointed person thinks that he (or she) is hearing from the Lord, rather than trying to hear for ourselves or listening to many different voices from all over the Body of Christ. Dependence on just an anointed few is a guaranteed recipe for failure.
So, each day, I invite you to write what you believe the Lord is telling you, showing you, or doing for you. Testimonies. Short teachings. Prophetic words. Scriptures. Prayers. Whatever you believe that the Body of Christ needs to know or will be blessed by hearing. Try to keep your words under 250 words. And if you need to, attach a link to your site for longer messages.

Does God have a sense of humor?
Jamie Buckingham (1932-1992), a pastor and author, admitted that he was rather stuffy and straight laced in his attitudes about God, but he also, loved to mention the times God played jokes on him. One of the times was a baptism.
The church which Buckingham pastored was a large one and had a baptismal pool at the front of the church. There were steps down into the pool. A full church was in attendance as the baptism was done just before the main Sunday service.
As usual, Pastor Buckingham wore his fishing wading boots with no slacks underneath, just his boxer shorts. He noticed that the pool was filled with more water than usual, but he discounted any possible problems.
He stepped into the pool and waited for the young woman to step into the pool for the baptism. She was extremely overweight. When she finally stepped in, her weight caused the water to rise above his waders. Thus, his wading boots were filled with water.
When the baptism was finished, the woman stepped out, but Buckingham could not move. The water weight was too much. He contemplated what to do and looked at the audience who expected him to step out so that the opening worship service could begin.
After much agonizing, he unhooked his waders, stepped out of them, and then climbed out of the pool in his dripping boxer shorts, and walked across the stage in full view of everybody.
Buckingham said that his congregation was laughing so hard at the sight of their humbled pastor that some were falling out of their seats. His only thought was, “Thanks Lord, I needed that.”
