Prognosis For Our Future: Walk in Faith or Wallow in Bitterness

I absolutely believe that we American Christians are living in the best time ever. For us, this is the season the prophet Daniel spoke about:

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Daniel 11: 32)

If you continue reading past this verse in Daniel, you will notice the prophet foresaw bad things happening to us believers. Some will fall by the sword. Some will be burned to death. Some will end up in captivity. Some will be plundered. This will continue many days; and all of this will happen to purge and purify us.

Now, you have a decision to make.

Will you walk in faith and be that mighty person of God? Being strong. Doing great exploits. Allowing God to purge and purify us.

Or will you be like Lot’s wife and look back at what America was, and not where it is? Let me say, nostalgia sucks! It will pull you into bitterness and defile you.You can not relive the past; it’s gone. And we need to move on.

Like the Apostle Paul stated:

one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. ( Philippians 3:13-14)

  1. Hi Larry. I was wondering what you thought of David Wilkerson’s recent warning:

    Rob V,

I agree with David Wilkerson. Since I was saved in 1985, I have had visions of fires and explosions happening in America. Like Wilkerson believes, I think that we are fairly close to this happening. Maybe within the next five years.

One thing that I always caution people about is Wilkerson’s idea about having a thirty day supply of food, water and goods on hand. If you do this, make sure you start asking the Lord for the power to multiply your supplies because you have to love your neighbors. And that means, supplying them with food and water also.

  3. Hi Larry,
Okay so I think I received a word for you tonight, because God isn’t letting me go to sleep until I type this comment.
He wants me to tell you “It’s time.”
And Ephesians 1:2 — “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
I could speculate and question, but it’s probably better for my night’s sleep and sanity if I just leave it at that. Hope you’re doing well,

  4. annadavis,

Today, I said to the Lord, “Could you have someone pray for me?”

Then, tonight, I came upstairs and you had a comment for me. A prophetic word out of the blue. A word that I have waited years to hear.

Thank you so much for obeying the Lord. I’ll explain to you eventually.

    But thanks.

  5. “Thank you so much for obeying the Lord.”

    Same to you, Larry.
