Tuesday’s Prayers for America (9/16/2014)

Today, I struggled and finally prayed:

Lord, help us to embrace what You are doing in America, believing that You are able to build and plant a new nation out of the one You are uprooting and tearing down. (Based on Jeremiah 1:10)

What do you think and has the Lord spoken to you today?

  1. Thank you for struggling in prayer but still praying anyway, Mr. Larry. I was reading the last chapter of Luke and thinking about how even though He had told them what would happen, they still didn’t recognize or understand it. I was so thankful and blessed that He came back to reassure them and prayed for God to reveal And open up the scriptures to us and help us see and understand what He is doing today. God bless you mightily!

  2. That’s actually a great way to pray, Larry. One thing I’ve learned is to always ask God to build His kingdom “thing” on top of what we’ve torn down from Satan’s “thing”. Example. I was 17 years old and working with my dad and mom in the inner city, in a church they pastored. I was driving people home in the van all the time and I had to pass this Triple XXX rated movie theater. I knew NOTHING about spiritual warfare, but when I drove by as a teenager I liked to pray, “Lord, tear down the XXX movie theater and put a church in there.” I found out about 30 years later that he did indeed put a Spirit filled Pentecostal church right in that movie theater! And a woman who was saved through my dad’s church attended there! Whooopie!! So let’s widen that out for America. I believe God will do it, especially with prayer warriors like you advancing this with faithful, active, persistent prayer.

  3. Debbie,

Thanks. I agree with your prayer that God will open up His scriptures to all of us.

  4. Lift the Cross of Jesus,

What a great testimony about how God used you to take back the land from the enemy. I love that.

  5. Fig Tree Chance

“Bible hope”, differentiated from the way we typically use the term hope, is a confident expectation of good–that is the Hope I have for our country, for God is bigger and mightier than the mess we easily see if we lose our focus. God bless you.

  6. Fig Tree Chance,

I like the idea of “Bible hope.” It reminds me of Romans 8:28. Thanks.

  7. And HOPE does not disappoint. : )

  8. Hey folks, just so everyone knows: Lift the Cross of Jesus is the blog for Hope Flinchbaugh. 🙂
