There Are No Starbucks in BASECO

Yesterday morning, half of America woke up and was happy, and another almost half of the nation awakened and was sad. Now, it is decision time, okay?

If you are a part of the unhappy group, what will you do?

You can mumble, grumble, and point your fingers at those who voted in opposition to your candidate. You can even say things like, “It’s all your fault for what’s about to happen in America. You will soon reap what you have sowed. Shame on you!”

Although you may feel a sense of short-term satisfaction for acting this way, it will be hard to keep the “I’m right, you’re wrong” elitist pride out of your heart. And whether you like it or not, pride will drag you down lower than the Mariana Trench.

So, here’s something to think about: “There are no Starbucks in BASECO.”

Do you know why there are no Starbucks or McDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken or Pizza Hut or T.J. Max or whatever retail chain store in BASECO?

Because BASECO is a dockside slum in the Manila Bay, where over 100,000 people live on 128-acre open garbage dump and sludge dredged up from the bay. As you can imagine, the smell alone is less than glorious. Not exactly Starbucks chocolate frappuccino atmosphere, right?

Their livelihood? Most rummage through the never-ending new garbage from the Manila area, hoping to eke out a few pennies per day. And a few sell a kidney for a $1,000 or $2,000 so their families can survive.

I wrote this article to show you an alternative to the sad future you see for America.

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The LORD rescues them when they are in trouble. The LORD protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The LORD nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. (Psalm 41:1-3)

The choice is yours and your decision will eventually be the bed you sleep upon in the future. So, think about giving to BASECO ministries today.

A video of BASECO can be seen here and you can support a BASECO missionary named Mark Pedder here.

John Paul Jackson Updates Perfect Storm Prophecies (Part 2)

John Paul Jackson began prophesying publicly about what he called the perfect storm in 2008. Earlier in 2012, Jackson updated his prophetic words. The following is a transcription (mistakes and all) of his main points from a video, which has since been removed. (But you can still see his main points herehere, and here.)

Remember: All prophetic words need to be prayed about and mistakes on any one part do not negate the truth on other parts. Plus, although you may disagree with some of a messenger’s doctrines, does not mean you should ignore his message.

(6.)

We’re going to see the dollar collapse. We’re going to see a new American currency. We’re going to see a new global currency. We’re going to see a new One World’s currency. We’re going to see a new One World order. We’re going to see a whole new economic structure set up between Mexico, Canada, and the United States. We’re going to see a whole new structure set up with the European Economic Community. We’re going to see a whole new thing that’s going to be going. The United Nations is going to be getting stronger. The EU is going to be getting stronger.

7.

We going to be seeing Turkey rise, seemingly, out of the ashes and become an incredible force in the Middle East with darkness in the core of it. Right now, Turkey seems to be rather demure, but Turkey will not remain demure for long.

8.

And you’re going to see Russia take on a whole new nationalism and Russia is going to create a crisis to spawn nationalism. Because it realizes that it is losing its youth.

9.

And so Putin coming back in is part of the whole thing the Lord talked to me about… Putin and Medvedev would begin to clash. Putin would end up taking over, but there is a third guy behind the scene who is more ruthless than that. And he will end up showing up on the scene. He is not on the scene yet, but he will be on the scene and Putin is setting the stage for his coming. He is not the Anti-Christ because the Anti-Christ comes from somewhere else. But it is all a part of the whole end times scenario.

10.

And Russia is going to end up blackmailing many of the small satellite nations that used to be a part of the Soviet bloc and demanding that they come into a whole new alliance and whole new agreement. Poland will be blackmailed. I hope they don’t succumb. I have to give a message to them in the Spring when I go there. Czechoslovakia, the Slavic countries, Romania, Ukraine, Kachestan – all these will be blackmailed by Russia. “So if you want our oil and if you want our gas, you will come back in and if you don’t, we will close the pipeline tomorrow.”

And they’re waiting for gas to get up high enough so they can close the pipeline to those countries and still function economically in their own state. But they have to wait for the price of gasoline to get up high before they can cut the pipeline off.

This is what the Lord showed me and going into these details with me and I’m saying, “Lord I don’t think I can retain all this.”

And He said, “Yes, you can.”

11.

The earthquakes are going to be coming and they are going to change the tilt of the earth. So we had the Chili earthquake and the tilt changed. We had the New Zealand earthquake and the earth tilt changed. We had the Japan earthquake and the tilt of the earth changed.

And He said, “When you start to see this happening, and the tilt of the earth changes, the jet streams are going to change, weather patterns are going to change dramatically. And countries are going to experience climatological changes they have never experienced before and it will cause the loss of crops. Whether it be fruit crop or grain crop or vegetable crops, you see, jet streams are going to change because the tilt of the earth has changed. Just one degree change, just a half degree change can mean hundreds of miles of change in the jet stream.

And He said, “When this begins to happen, cracks are going to begin to form in the shields of the earth. When that happens, the sun is going to rise…and eruptions from the sun are going to come and the energy from the sun will seep into the cracks. The day will come when it wipe out many of your satellites. And when that happens, no cell phones, no ATMs, no bank transfers, no TV when that happens. And the day will come when airplanes in the sky can’t land and they have to figure out how they are going to land because they have no satellite guidance system. It’s all going to be visual.

This type of thing…we are going to face this type of thing if we do not cry out to God. The moment we cry out to God, He will stop the process if it is a sustained cry. But the problem is if we don’t cry out, this is what is coming our way, headed our way…

John Paul Jackson Updates Perfect Storm Prophecies (Part 1)

John Paul Jackson began prophesying publicly about what he called the perfect storm in 2008. Earlier in 2012, Jackson updated his prophetic words. The following is a transcription (mistakes and all) of his main points from a video, which has since been removed. (But you can still see his main points here, here, and here.)

Remember: All prophetic words need to be prayed about and mistakes on any one part do not negate the truth on other parts. Plus, although you may disagree with some of a messenger’s doctrines, that does not necessarily mean you should ignore his message.

John Paul Jackson’s main prophetic points:

(1.)

So the Lord began to tell me about things in 2007 and began to show me things that were going to be happening. Things like Egypt and He said, “Watch what’s going to be happening in the Middle East and here’s a sign for you: Egypt.

President Mubarak is going to be removed from office and Egypt will turn into a terrorist state. Know when that happens, the rest of the Arab states that do not espouse religious extremism – Islamic religious extremism – they will be deposed under a false guise and a harsher regime will take each of their places, including Saudi Arabia. And it will begin. So watch Egypt.

(2.)

He said, “Begin to watch the European Community because I’m going to trouble the waters in Europe and the Euro is going to start to fall. And it will weaken and it will crumble. And shortly after that, your dollar will follow.”

I said, “Oh my goodness, Lord.”

He said, “My people are going to cry out to Me.”

I said, “When?”

He said, “It will keep getting darker until they do. It will keep getting darker until they do.”

(3.)

In March, I was on Daystar TV and the Lord had me prophesy about a coming assassination attempt on a congressman. Little did I know that in August of that year, that would happen with Gabby Giffords.

(He misspoke and used the wrong month here. Giffords’ assassination attempt happened in January, 2011.)

(4.)

There will come times when the stadiums aren’t full because no one can afford to pay the prices to go to a New York Giants game or a Jets game or a Patriots game or a Cowboys game or a Rams game. Nobody can afford to pay the price

(5.)

Even this year, tensions in Israel and Iran are going to escalate. The day is going to come when Israel will hit Iran. They already have hit…there were mystery explosions that happened.

And the Lord told me about this: Israel will one day send rockets into Iran, but before that day happens, there will be other explosions called mystery explosions. And those have happened.

But one day it is going to happen and when that takes place and those missiles hit Iran, there’s going to be a huge growth of anti-Semitism and everybody’s going to blame Israel on the price of gasoline. You are going to see incredible backlash that will happen and you are going to see OPEC countries forming an alliance saying, “We will not sell to anybody that supports Israel.

So, America, if you want gasoline, you’d better…you’d better stop your support of Israel. Israel will become a difficult thing and Jerusalem will become a cup of trembling. It is going to happen and it is going to happen, not years from now, sooner than that. And everything is going to begin to change.

Introducing 2 New eBooks

Deceived Dead and Delivered consists of two short novels, a prophetic allegory, and eleven short stories.

I can honestly say that Deceived Dead and Delivered is different from any other Christian book on the market today. Its revelations will challenge and maybe upset you, but isn’t that what a work of fiction should do?

200 pages  $2.99 e-Book

Do you prophesy? If not, why not?

These may be questions you have never been asked before, or at least, not very often. But did you know that the Apostle Paul asked questions much like these of early Christians? He wanted all to prophesy.

Prophecy 101 contains 58 simple lessons that I have learned over the years on how to prophesy. These lessons first appeared as posts on my blog, Prophecy One-O-One.

175 pages  $2.99 e-Book

Both books are now exclusively available on Amazon.com for purchase or for lending through their Amazon Prime program. After 90 days, both books will be available on other eBook sites.

You can check out both books and read excerpts from each at my website or at Amazon.com.

Quitting is Not an Option!

Twenty years ago, I lived in a Midwestern town with a population of 3,000 people. It was a close-knit community with great schools and people who greeted you on the street. I worked in a small Christian bookstore and was also a member of a home group who prayed for numerous people.

One of the people we prayed for was a Lutheran pastor. He was around forty years old, full head of hair, and wore a clerical collar. All of us gathered around him, laid hands on him, and then I prophesied to him about his calling and some plans I felt the Lord had for him.

When I finished, the Holy Spirit came upon him and he fell to the floor. Something, he did not believe in nor had ever experienced before in his life. As he laid on the floor the Holy Spirit spoke to his heart and gave him even more revelations.

Now, let’s fast forward to eight months later.

The same Lutheran pastor had fifteen year old son who committed suicide. It was such a shocking devastation that the whole community shut down for the funeral. Long lines of people waited to offer sympathetic words to the pastor and his wife.

Somehow, I ended up being at the end of the line. When I approached the couple, I felt the Holy Spirit wanted to speak some words of encouragement to the pastor.

“You can’t quit,” I said.

“What?” he replied through tear-filled eyes.

“You can’t quit on your calling,” I said. “Because if you quit, that means the devil has won. And the Lord and your son do not want you to quit just because the battle has been tough. Keep on walking.”

Every part of the mask he was hiding behind fell off his face. He stood there as a destroyed man,  tears streaming down his face. His wife gripped his arm.

“I can’t go on,” he whispered.

“Yes, you can.”

We held each other and wept. Then, the two walked into the sanctuary for the funeral services.

Sometimes, it feels like we can not make it into our callings or fulfill our divine destinies because the price is too costly. That is a lie because the Lord is able to turn our mourning into dancing and clothe us with joy.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

What if Obama Loses in 2012? What Will Conservative Christians Really Gain?

What if Obama Loses the 2012 election? What will conservative Christians really gain?

Actually, conservative Christians will gain very little and lose much.

“What?” you shout, “How can you make such a dumb statement? Don’t you realize Obama is the worse this and that in the history of America? And then, there are his views on healthcare, Israel, the economy, global warming, abortion, world government and energy; what about these issues? Don’t you care?”

Just for the record, you can check how I felt during the 2008 election cycle by looking back at my posts during that time period. For the most part, you will notice I opposed the Obama/Biden ticket because of their pro-abortion stances.  And if you have time, you can also check out my prophetic mistakes and what I learned from them by clicking here and reading all of  #1 and #3.

Okay, so much for full disclosure on my part. So why am I making such a bold statement that conservative Christians will gain very little and lose much if Obama is defeated?

First: To defeat President Obama in 2012 will take a concentrated effort by conservative Christians. This effort will take huge amounts of time; time we do not have. Plus, it will take millions of dollars of donations; money which could be used elsewhere with greater benefits for the Kingdom of God.

Second: To defeat President Obama in 2012 will mean a dirty-dog, down-in-the-trenches, in-your-face battle between the different factions of the Body of Christ which will only add more division to the Body. A division – we Christians can not afford at this time in America. (Here’s the demographics for 2008, which are basically the same as 2004 and probably won’t change much for 2012.)

What will we gain if Obama is defeated? A pat on the back from fellow conservative Christians who agree with us, but little else. You see, the damage to our economy and our nation will already have been done and will take years to reverse. Years – we will not have.

Why am I so pessimistic about our government and nation? America is sliding down a greasy slope into a bloody terrorist war which will occur here on our home-front. A terrorist war which we are not prepared for, cannot stop and one which our government will be of limited help for us.

Our only hope is for a great number of American Christians to be able to live as mature citizens of the Kingdom of God when the heavy terrorists’ attacks strike us, especially here on the West Coast. These mature kingdom citizens will have to help their neighbors and others, during the dismal days awaiting our nation.

But sadly, the following scripture describes most of us American Christians:

...”How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. (Luke 18:24-25)

We Americans are wealthy and do not know much about the kingdom of God or our citizen benefits. At best, we know how to sit in pews and get along with other Christians who think exactly like us.  So how can we possibly change ourselves?

The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” (Luke 18: 27)

I believe we still have time to change and prepare for the upcoming terrorist strikes, but it will take a total commitment on our parts to learn about the kingdom of God and unlearn most of our present teachings. This undertaking will not have the luxury of wasting time for two years, trying to defeat President Obama.

We need to make up our minds now.

Elijah, Come Out of the Cave! Now! (Part 8)

Click on following links for earlier articles: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6 and Part 7.

A pupil is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. (Matthew 10: 24)

In Part 1, I mentioned about the night I visited a small country church where two traveling prophets were conducting meetings. Both prophets were veterans who had been in ministry for twenty years or more.

The preaching was okay and the prophetic words were excellent. But yet, the two prophets did not discern the deeper spiritual needs of the people.

This oversight bothered me and I sought the Lord on why the spiritual radar systems of these two top-notch prophets were so defective.

Finally, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart: “The two prophets are trained by the traditional church system and are dependent on the traditional church system for their financial livelihoods. Thus, their spiritual radar systems for discerning the spiritual needs of believers and then delivering them are dulled and made useless by the system.”

Maybe, you’re not sure about this, right?

Well, who was Elijah’s biggest enemy?

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, ” So may the gods do so to me and even more, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” And he [Elijah] was afraid and arose and ran for his life… (1 Kings 19: 2- 3)

Though Ahab was the king of Israel, it was Jezebel who influenced Ahab to worship pagan gods and turn away from God.  Thus, Jezebel was Elijah’s biggest enemy.

The same is true today for the Elijah-type prophets.

There have been numerous books written about demonic spirits which are labeled Jezebel Spirits, but my personal belief is that Jezebel represents a religious spirit. Nothing more. Nothing less. It plainly dislikes God and His ways and wants to hinder and control prophetic words within the Body of Christ.

And furthermore, it is my belief that the traditional church system is under the control of a  major principality in the demonic hierarchy which rules over America and it is – in fact – a religious spirit.

The only way to break the control of religious spirits on believers’ lives is to have Elijah-type prophets arrive on the scene. Where will they come from?

I believe the Elijah-type of prophets will come from outside the traditional church systems. Maybe from prisons. Maybe from the deserts or wildernesses of America. Maybe from the armed forces. Maybe from professional sports. Maybe from businesses. But no matter where they come from, they will be trained to discern and fight religious spirits.

Lastly, I believe Elijah was the chosen prophet at the transfiguration of Jesus, rather than David, Isaiah, Jeremiah or Ezekiel, because it will be prophets like Elijah who will set us free from the religious requirements and bondage imposed on us by the weakness of the Law, which is the flesh.

Obviously, this is a lot to digest for now. So, we’ll do more on the Elijah prophets in the future.

(Conclusion)

Elijah, Come Out of Your Cave! Now! (Part 7)

Click on following links for earlier articles: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.

On Monday, May 20, 1985, about 3:30 in the afternoon, I gave my life to Jesus. The next morning, I phoned someone and asked what I should do. He told me to read the Bible, beginning with Matthew. I followed his directions.

A few months later, I heard another person say that believers should pray and ask the Lord what we should study. This then became my Bible study method, which I still follow even today.

But it wasn’t long before I noticed something about my Bible studies: most of my time was spent reading Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and the other prophets. Over and over, I studied these books.

Then, I purchased the The Elijah Task by John Sanford (1977). At the time, this was the only book written about prophets and their callings. The basic premise of the book is that the Lord is going to release an army of Elijah-type prophets into the earth, proclaiming repentance with power and anointing.

Since the 1980’s, there have been countless other books, prophecies and even songs (Days of Elijah) declaring the coming of this army of Elijah-type prophets. Many Christians are now looking for these prophets to soon arrive on the scene.

But where are believers looking for these Elijah-type of prophets to be raised up at? In the traditional churches, specifically the Pentecostal and Charismatic ones.

“What’s wrong with that thinking?” you proclaim.

Our five examples of Elijah-type of prophets (Elijah, Elisha, John the Baptist and the Two Witnesses) have one thing in common which sets them apart from all of the other prophets. You see, not one of them was raised in the traditional religious system of his time. Not one was accountable to a religious hierarchy, such as a priest or a pastor. Not one of them.

They were all unknowns, raised up in the wildernesses and deserts of their day, away from the religious systems.

“Wait a second!” you say, “where should we look for the Elijah-type of prophets? And why would the Lord do it this way?”

Elijah, Come Out of Your Cave! Now! (Part 6)

Click on following links for earlier articles: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5.

4 and 5.  The two witnesses.

And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. (Revelation 11: 3 – 6)

Throughout history, people have speculated about the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation Chapter 11.

The early church believed the two witnesses would be Enoch and Elijah. Their reasoning was that both prophets were taken directly into heaven without first suffering death. Hmm! Maybe.

Many others think the two witnesses will be Moses and Elijah. In this scenario, it would then be a recurrence of the transfiguration with Moses representing the Law and Elijah the Prophets. Hmm! Maybe.

Still others believe the two witnesses will be the Messianic side of the Church and the Gentile side of the Church. Hmm! Maybe.

Since eschatology has never been my forte, I really have no clue exactly who the two witnesses will be, but I do know this: they will be Elijah-types of prophets. Why?

Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. (Malachi 4: 5)

Elijah does first come… (Mark 9: 12)

It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah… (Luke 1: 17)

Then if you look ahead to the end of Revelation Chapter 11, the seventh trumpet is blown and we see the coming of the Lord.

…The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 11: 15)

As Sherlock Holmes would say to Dr Watson after explaining a mystery, “It was elementary my dear Watson.”

Thus, the two witnesses (also called prophets) have to be Elijah-types of prophets.

But once again, what really sets these two witnesses apart so that they are Elijah-types of prophets?

Elijah, Come Out of the Cave! Now! (Part 5)

Click on following links for earlier articles: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4.

3. John the Baptist

It is he [John the Baptist] who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (Luke 1: 17)

Unlike Elijah and Elisha, John the Baptist did not have a powerful signs and wonders ministry. Instead, John was primarily a  prophetic voice.

But much like Elijah, who arrived on the scene without any advance warning, John the Baptist did the same. One day, he was a man hidden away in the wilderness, and the next day, he was standing at the Jordan River, preaching, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Then Jerusalem was going out to him, and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan. (Matthew 3: 5)

And the crowds showed up to listen to his message and to be baptized. He was the man!

Yet, his ministry only lasted six months.  But in that small amount of time, John the Baptist stirred the hearts of the people so that they were prepared for the arrival of the Promised One who immediately followed him.

Jesus Himself validated the ministry of John the Baptist as an Elijah-type of prophet when He said:

For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come. (Matthew 11: 13-14)

Yes, John was filled with the Holy Spirit from when he was within his mother’s womb. Yes, he was a cousin, first removed, of Jesus, but unlike the Lord, John was a Levite, not from the tribe of Judah.

But what was it that set John apart from the other prophets and made him an Elijah-type of prophet? And who are the remaining two prophets?
